HOW TO APPLY

Applications for research grants should be made using the Research proposal form (word doc) and sent electronically via email as an attachment to the Joule Centre Administrator. Copies of the Funding guide and the Application form can be downloaded or requested from the Joule Centre Administrator.

When preparing a proposal in response to a call for proposals, please leave enough time for your organisation’s submission process to take place before the closing date.

Case for Support
All application forms should be accompanied by a self-contained description of the proposed research. Details of the documentation required can be found in the guidance notes for completing the standard research proposal form and case for support.

Joint Proposals
Joint proposals may be submitted and are encouraged, however please contact the Joule Centre to discuss clarification of the application process should you wish to submit a joint proposal.

Collaboration
We actively encourage the involvement of industrial collaborators on research proposals. Although funding from a third party is not mandatory, additional contributions to the cost of the research may be taken into account in the evaluation.

Submission of Proposals
All proposals should be submitted, via email to the Joule Centre Administrator by 17:00 on the deadline date as advised in the call for applications. An original proposal form complete with authorisation signatures should also be sent to the to the following address:
