Northwest Adaptation Framework Consultation Now Open PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 06 September 2010 00:00
sky-2

As part of the Northwest Climate Change Action Plan, the Northwest Climate Change Partnership is developing an adaptation framework as a method of understanding and mapping current climate change adaptation, as well as identifying and starting to fill any gaps in activity/capacity.

The two part consultation document can be downloaded from the following link:

Adaptation Framework Consultation Document

Part A provides some background on the likely future climate change impacts we can expect, along with an overview of the adaptation activity already occurring and, based on this, the potential gaps in our adaptation activity.

Part B takes the intelligence from Part A and considers some of the specific implications for the Northwest's key business and public service sectors.

Both parts are intended to understand the level of adaptation activity currently taking place, how well that activity is being undertaken, and how well the various sectors of the economy are 'planning' for future impacts.

Consultation responses are requested by Friday 12th November by email to matthew.ellis@environment-agency.gov.uk or by post to Matt Ellis at:
