A study by the Hay Group has shown that renewable energy companies are pushing up salaries in an attempt to hold on to ‘key talent' and prevent defections to competitors, reports New Energy Focus.

In terms of skills, Hay claims 64% of respondents felt there was a shortage in the sector. In an attempt to overcome the problem, 75% of companies are looking to train existing staff to a higher level, the survey shows. Read more on this story at New Energy Focus
