Energy regulator Ofgem has published final proposals for £319 million worth of funding to help three transmission companies to connect Britain's growing amount of renewable electricity generation, reports New Energy Focus.

This comes as part of a ten-year investment plan to upgrade the network in order to connect new renewable generation and help meet the government's 2020 renewable energy targets.
