Forum

The object of the Forum is to:-

• Influence and support regional policy concerning issues of energy,
• Arrange meetings for speakers to address members on matters relating to energy
• Encourage individual and corporate pursuit of “best practice”,
• Provide opportunities for collaboration between members,
• Provide guidance and support to the Joule Centre, via the Board of Governors, on its strategy, plans and research focus,
• Stimulate energy research and development in the region.

Membership of the Joule Forum:-

• Membership will be open to companies, organisations and individuals from the region associated with or having an interest in energy; in particular those who have an interest in the production, distribution and use of energy. Membership by organisations involved in related manufacturing industries and services, such as research and education, will be encouraged.
• The members of the Forum will be those companies, organisations and individuals whose names are entered in the register of members maintained by the Centre Development Manager.
• Each member will be allocated to one of the three “colleges” (industry, university or regional organisation (includes individuals), which form the Forum.
• Each member will nominate one individual formally to serve on the Forum. However, there will be no restriction on numbers attending meetings of the Forum.
• Processing applications for membership will be the responsibility of the Centre Development Manager.
